Prince Harry’s witness statement contained an error regarding his father King Charles' royal title.
Among those named in the witness statement as people that Prince Harry regularly exchanged voice messages with were his brotherPrince William, his fatherKing Charles, his motherPrincess Dianaand his former girlfriend Chelsy Davy.
But in the witness statement, Harry’s father is incorrectly referred to as “HRH King Charles III,” with “HRH” standing for “His Royal Highness.” When Charles became monarch upon the death ofQueen Elizabethin September, the “His Royal Highness” title changed to “His Majesty.

Harry is one of four “representative” claimants chosen as “test cases” from a larger group of high-profile figures suing the publisher,The Independentpreviously reported. The other claimants selected for trial are actress Nikki Sanderson, actor Michael Turner and Fiona Wightman, ex-wife of comedian Paul Whitehouse.
Over 100 people are suing MGN for alleged illegal activity between 1991 and 2022,Reutersreported. The claimants’ attorneys allege that senior editors and executives at MGN were aware of and approved such actions. The newspaper group has denied the accusations and said that some of the claims were brought too late.
Prince Harryreceived an apologyfrom MGN at the start of the trial. “MGN unreservedly apologises for all such instances of UIG, and assures the claimants that such conduct will never be repeated,” the apology read in full.
