Our favorite thing to come out of the love-it-or-hate-it holiday that is Valentine’s Day:Pinterest fails.(Our second favorite ischocolate desserts, obviously.)
From botched cake pops to leaky hand pies to that-does-not-look-like-hearts pancakes, these masterpieces totally and completely#nailedit.

CAKE POPSThere are few things more frustrating than trying to make cake pops — the unpredictability of melted chocolate, the sticks that seem to never actually hold up the cake balls, the likelihood that you’re going to eat all the ingredients before assembly is complete — but tack on the pressure of Valentine’s Day and you’ve got a recipe for a stressed out mess. Save yourself the tears, makered velvet truffles instead.

PANCAKESWe applaud your attempt at a romanticbreakfast in bed, but trying to successfully manipulate pancake batter is not a task for the barely-awake.
CHOCOLATE STRAWBERRY HEARTSStick to good, ol’ fashionedchocolate-covered strawberries, folks. When you attempt a heart-shaped berry, it’s pretty much always going to look like it’s trying to break the Internet.
CINNAMON ROLLSPlaying with cinnamon rolls can actually be very delicious as well as pretty (thank you, waffle iron!), but hearts? Nope.
CHOCOLATE PRETZEL HEARTSPretzels and chocolate areguaranteed to be a tasty combo, but they are not guaranteed to look like a tasty combo.
CAKEYou can make fun and surprising Valentine’s Day cakes, but best to follow an expert chef’s recipes.
