Lexi Reedis hitting a new milestone since getting back in the gym.
On Friday, the fitness influencer posted a photo onInstagramcelebrating her recent non-scale victory. The 32-year-old has been documenting her journey since she was able toreturn to the gymafter recovering from calciphylaxis.
The rare and serious condition occurs when calcium builds up in blood vessels and blocks blood flow to the skin, according toCleveland Clinic. It can lead to blood clots, open wounds that don’t heal and potentially deadly infections.
“It’s getting colder outside, but still showing up for myself!” Reed wrote alongside a photo of herself post-workout. “Today I was able to push myself for 50 minutes of cardio on the elliptical which was a big#NSVfor me after not being able to even walk into the gym last year!
“It also was a reminder that 2023 isn’t over yet so it’s time to finish these last months strong!” she continued. “My weight loss has slowed down a bit this month, but I’m just enjoying life & the journey along the way of getting healthy again. TGIF - The grind includes Friday!”
Days later, the content creator shared another update on her progress in a #MotivationMonday Instagram post.
Alongside a before and after photo of her standing on a scale, Reed told her followers that she’s lost 68.4 lbs. since she “finally felt well enough to refocus on my weight loss goals” in March.
“I started this journey 1/1/16 at 485 lbs (267 lbs lost total still!) and although I’m not where I want to be - I’m not giving up, trusting the process, and starting over everyday!” she captioned the post. “This is so much more than just a number on a scale to me but it’s also a reminder to me of a comeback, how much better I feel when I move my body + eat healthy & another chance at life daily.”
“Weight loss takes time and life happens but the most important thing that we can do is keep showing up for ourselves & being the best version we can be despite any setbacks,” she added. “Life is out there waiting for you to show up as your best version - start today!”

Reed first announced that she was in remission in August. She shared the news with a video of her first time back in the gym since her diagnosis, a huge milestone, as calciphylaxis left herunable to walk or stand on her ownfor several months.
At the time, she told her followers that she “dreamed of a day my legs would even allow me to walk back into a gym.”
“ALL 30+ OF MY CALCIPHYLAXIS WOUNDS ARE OFFICIALLY HEALED & BACK IN THE GYM WITH [husband]@discoveringdanny!” Reed captioned the video. “Finally in remission & praying that none come back or reopen!”
“I remember last year when I was unable to walk, wondering if I’d ever be able to walk into the gym on my own again. I remember wishing I was able to move my body & just trying to survive the pain,” she continued. “So much has changed but I never gave up on trying to get back to working on my health despite life happening. I may not be where I once was, as fast or as strong as I was - but I’m ready to keep fighting for my health! Never give up on yourself - Fall down seven times, stand up eight!”
