Kaitlyn Bristoweonce had second thoughts about dating men towards the end of a previous relationship.
On Tuesday’s episode of herOff the Vinepodcast,The Bachelorettealum, 38, opened up about her sex life and how she once believed she was asexual or into women because she lost her sex drive “at the end” of a past relationship.
“It was gone,” she said of her sex drive. “I thought I was asexual. I literally thought I was asexual.”
“I was like, I think at this point I could see myself more with a woman — I actually thought that — than a man,” she continued. “I get it. Like, I think women are hot. I could do that.”
After going on a few more dates, Bristowe recalled feeling an “urge” to explore sex with men again.
“I was like, ‘Ooh, I kinda would like to hook up,’” she explained. “I was really proud of myself for that because I was like, ‘OK, I’m not the desert down there.’”

Tartick and Bristowesplitin July 2023 but didn’t publicize the news until the following month. In a joint Instagram statement, the now-exes called the breakup a “life-altering decision” that sparked “many emotions and changes” for them to navigate.
The following month, Bristoweaddressed the split on her podcast, saying, “I’ve never respected someone more through a breakup than I do with Jason. I think people assume if people break up, something bad happened. And I think that’s the hardest part of this whole breakup — nothing bad happened. It’s just beenover time. We have both not made each other a priority.”
“It’s sad. We are both so sad. You know, you think you’re gonna spend your life with somebody … we’re grieving a loss,” she added.

In January, Tartick appeared onSavannah Chrisley’sUnlockedpodcast. During their chat, theChrisley Knows Bestalum, 26, told Tartick that she didn’t believe he and Bristowe were meant to last after Bristowe’s last stint on her show.
“It was gradually growing apart. I was a bit in denial,” he said, noting that he initially wanted to “salvage” the relationship before she broke up with him. “I think I lived a little bit in a cloud. I should have seen [our issues] and I should have stepped into it earlier.”

“I know with certainty, even when I look back at all the thumb-pointing, the things I should have done better and been a better partner. And I will be in my next relationship,” Tartick said. “I know with certainty that she absolutely was not my person. I know with certainty I absolutely wasn’t her person.”
