The county of Oxfordshire, northwest of London, offers a number of enticing qualities for both families and high-profile residents looking to live a life under the radar.

Jeffery describes the area surrounding the couple’s would-be “forever home,” which offers proximity to the River Thames and Chiltern Hills, as a “peaceful” place where “crime is at a minimum.” He continues, “Schools are outstanding, you’ve got lovely walks, and it is more of a foodie town than a drinking town.”

According to the real estate agent, the area also boasts “stunning villages” and historic monuments. He adds that it’s starting to attract more commuters as you can get to London in under an hour.

As for why a celebrity couple might be attracted to it, Jeffery says the locals are “not pretentious” and offer a “different” attitude that would allow the pair to live a quiet life.

“People aren’t bothered about who you are," he explains. “They’re bothered about you as a person. Everyone’s here to help and no one has a bad word to say about anything. It’s just lovely.”

According to Turner’s legal filing, the exes had found a “beautiful country property” to raise their daughters, Willa, 3, and Delphine, 14 months.

The pair had been on the hunt for a permanent residence in Turner’s home country since Dec. 2022. After finally finding the house, they allegedly “looked forward to spending their Christmas 2023 holiday with the children, family, and friends in their new home in England,” the docs state.

The singer and actress were previously living in Miami until April 2023, when they relocated to a short-term rental in London. They officiallysold their six-bedroom Miami mansion, which they had completely redecorated, in August for $15 million.

“Joe and Sophie had a cordial meeting this past Sunday in New York, when Sophie came to New York to be with the kids. They have been with her since that meeting.
