This photo of Mount Rainier looks like it was shot back in the 60s or 70 by a vacationer with a nice moving picture photographic camera . In realness , it was make by Microsoft from an implausibly hazy , wobbly picture clip :
Even crappy video like this has one distinct advantage over a bare picture : sheer volume . It ’s easy to leave , this short clip has 900 still images inside ( 30 second gear of 30fps ) . Since it ’s a electrostatic mental image , Microsoft can take a small pct of these 900 images—80 in this compositor’s case — and combine their keen , most elaborate role . When glued together ( and I ’m guessing pumped through some colour and line filter ) , the consequence is more telling than anything you would have imagined from the original , pitiful source .
