Hockey player Adam Johnson’s partner is mourning his loss.

“Thankful for our memories and life together,” Wolfe wrote on Thanksgiving under the snap of her kissing the cheek of her late partner. “Wish we could’ve had more babe. Missing you so much every single day, love you Adam 🤍.”

“Honestly, I’m at a loss for words,” former teammate and fellow Minnesotan Jake Guentzel told the outlet.

“The Panthers would like to send our thoughts to Adam’s family, his partner and all his friends at this extremely difficult time,” the organization said. “Everyone at the club including players, staff, management and ownership are heartbroken at the news of Adam’s passing. Our thoughts are also with the fans and staff of both clubs, especially those who attended or were following the game, who will be devastated following today’s news.”

Johnson, a Minnesota native, was an “outstanding ice hockey player" and an “incredible person with his whole life ahead of him,” the statement said. The statement concluded: “Rest in Peace Adam.”

Earlier this month, a man wasarrested on suspicion of manslaughter. The South Yorkshire Police Department confirmed toBBCthat Johnson had died of a fatal neck injury and had arrested a man, who remained in custody.
