Facebook has apparently taken over the trademark program for “ Face ” from a fellowship who operated a site called Faceparty.com and is trying to pursue the trademark . It wo n’t be an well-heeled task though , because Aaron Greenspan — the fellow who have Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to court over the creation of Facebook — is opposing the diligence according toTechCrunch :

Greenspan now has his own company , Think Computer , which is behind the mobile payment app name FaceCash ( watch the TCTV interview with him ) .
If Facebook gets the earmark for the word “ Face , ” that could write hassle for FaceCash . “ The possible registration has implications for my companionship ( not to remark hundreds of others , including Apple , Inc. ) , so I ’ve settle to ask the USPTO for an extension of time to fight down it , ” he explains in an email . Apple , of course , have the trademark to “ Facetime , ” the video calling feature of speech on the latest iPhones .
Although Greenspan have the hallmark to “ FaceCash ” , he wants to protect his ability to use the word “ aspect ” in future products . He also wants to ensure Facebook wo n’t go after him . give it ’s track criminal record of vigorously defending its trademark ( which it is boost to do by the law or else danger losing them ) , that could become a very existent possibility .

Ca n’t wait to see how this dramatic play plays out . [ TechCrunch ]
