Actress Amy Acker , who appear as the nerdy Fred in Joss Whedon ’s vampire - detective show Angel , will link Whedon again in his latest TV show , the futuristic Dollhouse . Acker will run Dr. Claire Saunders , who charter attention of the amnesic “ dolls ” who can be programmed for any mission or appointment by clients who rent them in the new serial which set in motion this fall .
Joss also held the first “ mesa read ” for Dollhouse , and gushed :
All in all , pound for lb , soup to nuts , man vs. beast , it ’s a pretty amazing supporting players . I ’m not sure how I land this troupe , but eternal rest assured I ’m gon na publish bestest good word for talkacting to them yes ! They ’re in good hands .
