The BBCadmitted in a statement on Thursdaythat conniption from its 2011 documentary serial , Human Planet , were sleuth by the doc ’s Godhead . An episode dedicated to the indigenous Korowai people of Papua , New Guinea featured tribe members building a fresh residence in a tree house . Cut to 2018 , when a fellow member of the same tribe , during the filming for a 2nd series set in New Guinea , admitted the treehouse was built “ for the benefit of abroad program makers . ”
The scene depicts members of the Korowai building a treehouse in high spirits in the woods . As they recline and confabulate with each other , one tribesman ’s transform voiceover reflect on how content he is to exist in the forest . As it turn out , the scene is both idealized and inaccurate .
