Alec, 65, celebrated his wife on Instagram with aphotoof the couple at her celebratory dinner, which was held at BondST Hudson Yards, a Japanese restaurant in New York City.
In the photo, the actor wrapped his arm around his wife, who was sporting a sparkling gold and black dress for the birthday night out.
“Thanks to our good friends at @bondst.hudsonyards for the nicest of evenings/birthday parties,” he wrote alongside the shot.
The actor also shared a heartfelttributeto hiswife of 11 yearson Instagram earlier in the day.
Alongside a photo of the mom of seven, Alec wrote, “Today is the birthday of the woman who is the blessing that begat all of my other blessings.”
“I love you, Hilaria, and I am more grateful for you than anything I have ever known,” he added. “Happy birthday.”
More of the 40th birthday celebration was posted on Hilaria’s own Instagram account. On her Instagram Story, she reposted a video that showed her blowing out candles on four different cakes — even circling back to extinguish a candle she missed during her first attempt.
Hilaria also documented her final hurrah of the evening — some quality time at home with her children.
Still wearing her sparkly birthday gown in theclip, Hilaria danced and spun with her pajama-clad kiddos, while in the final frame they posed for a sweet group photo together.
“I asked for a baldwinito dance party for my 40th. I love them and I love you,” she captioned the post. “Thank you for your kind birthday wishes. Let’s have an amazing year.”
