A squad of Australian engineers are concerned about cracks that they ’ve found in the wings of some A380s . But whty is Airbus doing nothing about it ?
The BBC reportsthat the engineers found small cracks in the wing ribs ofthe gigantic planesoperated by Singapore Airlines and Qantas Airways . Singapore Airlines also say that it has already had to supersede the wings of two of its A380s .

The team of engineers are calling for the whole fleet of A380s to be grounded for investigation . talk to the BBC , Steve Purvinas , escritoire of the Australian Licensed Aircraft Engineers Association , say :
“ We ca n’t continue to gamble with the great unwashed ’s lives and tolerate those aircraft to fly around and hope that they make it until their four - yearly inspection . ”
But Airbus are reluctant to cooperate . They ’ve issued a statement admitting that minor sally have seem , but deny that it ’s anything to occupy about :

“ We sustain that small cracks were find on some non - critical wing costa - skin attachments on a special number of A380 aircraft . We have hunt the stemma . Airbus has developed an review and reparation procedure , which will be done during regular , routine scheduled four - yr sustainment check-out procedure . In the meantime , Airbus emphasize that the safe operation of the A380 fleet is not impress . ”
